Global Commerce Systems has been a pioneer and technology leader in business-to-business e-commerce. We trace our roots back to the 1980s, when our predecessor, Ellery Systems, designed large-scale, distributed network systems over the Arpanet for the Department of Defense.

Global Commerce Systems formed out of the experience and expertise built at Ellery to capitalize on the commercial application of Internet technologies to business solutions. Co-founders Geoffrey Shaw, Jeffrey Jordan and Peter Ossorio started Global Commerce Systems to help Fortune 1000 and Global 5000 companies seize the power of the Internet to strengthen their competitive positions by giving them the freedom to interconnect with their suppliers, buyers, customers and financial institutions in secure, real-time online marketplaces.
