Google Releases Bard AI, Its ChatGPT Counterpart

Alphabet’s Google said it is opening access to its experimental generative AI tool ‘Bard’. This was earlier announced by the company after the success of OpenAI’s AI chatbot ChatGPT. Bard is touted by Google as a tool that brings helpful AI experiences to people, businesses and communities. In a latest blog, the Google AI tool shows an example interaction on ways to read 20 books an year.

Google highlighted its focus on building a safe and quality tool guided by its AI principles. Work is on to ensure this using human feedback and evaluation to improve our systems, it said. Although users can already sign up to try Bard, access is currently limited geographically. Access is currently provided to U.S. and U.K. based users while expansion to to more countries and languages will be done eventually.
