Alexander Morozov was born in 1969.

In 1995 he graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, specialising in Economic Theory.

In 1992–1993 he rose to the position of chief economist and acting deputy head of the Foreign Exchange Department at Rodina Commercial Bank.

In 1994–2007 he worked for International Moscow Bank as Deputy Head of Division, Deputy Head of Department, Head of Treasury and General Manager.

In 2007–2008 he held the position of Executive Vice-President and CFO at Renaissance Capital Bank LLC.

He joined Sberbank of Russia in May 2008 as Director of Finance Department and member of the Executive Board.

Since May 2009 he has been Vice-President - Director of Finance Department and a member of the Executive Board of Sberbank of Russia.

Since October 2012 he has been the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank.

He is honoured by Citation of the Government of the Russian Federation.
