Alexander Whalley is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Calgary. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park and was a visiting scholar at Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley. Professor Whalley teaches courses in economics, and his research is focused on the determinants of productivity, how university technology affects regional growth, and the effects of accountability on government performance.
