15+ years of experience in the entertainment industry with a focus on content programming, development and acquisitions. Most recently Andy was Director of Kids & Family Content at Netflix. He built and led Netflix’s Kids Content department, which was responsible for original productions, co-productions and acquisitions of content for kids age 2-12. Andy oversaw the growth of Netflix’s Kids slate from two originals in 2014 to 40+ in 2017, the largest slate of original kids content in the industry, including shows such as Alexa and Katie, Ask the Storybots, Beat Bugs, Chasing Cameron, Julie's Greenroom, Magic School Bus Rides Again, Project MC2 and Trollhunters. He also led Netflix’s kids & family programming strategy and acquisitions globally, including acquisitions from 50+ countries and original productions from 10 countries. In this capacity he closed licensing or production deals with every major kids content provider, including Disney, Dreamworks, Nickelodeon, Warner Bros, LEGO, Hasbro and Mattel. Andy joined Netflix in 2011 to help acquire content for its initial international expansion.Prior to joining Netflix, Andy worked in digital distribution for The Walt Disney Studios. In that role, he negotiated movie distribution deals with digital platforms such as Hulu, iTunes, Sony Playstation Network and Microsoft Xbox. He holds an M.B.A. in Strategy and Entertainment Management from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and a degree in International Relations from Tufts University.
