Andy Johns is a General Partner at Unusual Ventures, leading and building its consumer portfolio. He joined Unusual from Wealthfront, where he started as Director of Growth and became President of the company. While there, he made key decisions about the product that have made it the category leader in fintech. Prior, he helped Facebook, Twitter and Quora gain millions of users and deliver culture-defining consumer internet products at scale. At Facebook, he worked on growth and user engagement tactics that took the company from 100 million to over 500 million users. He did the same at Twitter to take it from 40 million to 140 million active users. At Quora, he helped establish the growth team and helped get the product off the ground beginning with its first 10,000 users. In the process, he’s become the thought leader on how consumer startups can sustainably grow into large businesses.
