Michael Yao is vice president of Sequoia Capital China, an investment company that focuses on the financial service sector. He has been involved in multiple transactions including Bank of China Consumer Finance, Mai Danxia, Welab, JD Finance, Xiao Yusan Insurance, Sumscope and Sui Shouji. Prior to joining Sequoia, Mr. Yao was with Citigroup Investment Banking division, Crimson Ventures and A.T. Kearney.

Mr. Yao received a B.A. of Business from Shanghai Jiaotong University and an M.B.A from Columbia Business School.
