Catherine Delhaye is the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer of Valeo, a global automotive component designer and manufacturer, operating in 28 countries. Ms. Delhaye joined in March 2012 to set up a global compliance organisation and program. Before that, she worked at Accenture for sixteen years as Deputy General Counsel – Regulatory Ethics and Compliance.

Delhaye joined Accenture in 1996 to create the France Belux legal department. Her responsibilities gradually extended to other western European countries and South America. In 2004,Delhaye’s peers named her legal director of the year. In 2005, she was nominated Accenture Vice President of Business Ethics and Corporate Citizenship in France and Trustee of the Accenture Foundation.

In 2007,Delhaye became Deputy General Counsel for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, managing an international, multidisciplinary team of 130 legal professionals. She gradually took responsibility for regulatory, local compliance, and global compliance matters and finally became the Regulatory, Ethics, and Compliance Global Director.Before Accenture, as a member of the Paris BarDelhaye was an attorney with French IT law firm Alain Bensoussan, where she spent more than six years leading the data privacy, direct marketing, and IT contracting practices.

Delhaye is the General Secretary and co-founder of the “Cercle de la Compliance” (The Compliance Circle), an association of ethics and compliance officers and experts aimed at promoting compliance. She is the co-author of Manager les risques et conformité (Risk Management and Compliance), published by Walters Kluwers in 2011.Delhaye sits on the Board of PlaNet Finance, a global ONG fighting exclusion through micro-finance.
