Dr. Changhao Jiang is the Co-founder and CTO of Cobo, a leading global developer building the infrastructure that makes cryptocurrencies and decentralized apps easily accessible to anyone. Cobo’s flagship product, launched in February 2018, is Cobo Wallet, the first mobile wallet that offers proof-of-stake pooling services for users, a groundbreaking innovation that assimilates to interests and dividends. Prior to co-founding Cobo, Changhao Jiang got his start in 2007 as an engineer at Google’s platform team, and later joined Facebook in 2008. It was at Facebook where Changhao made his mark when he invented the “Big Pipe” protocol, a concept that radically reduced website load times by loading elements individually. The protocol is now widely used by Internet companies today. Upon returning to China in 2013 to make his entrepreneurial mark, Changhao developed China’s first cryptocurrency wallet, Bihang, which he sold to OKcoin.Changhao Jiang graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Tsinghua University. Upon graduating, he moved to the U.S., where he was a research programmer for Project Aura at Carnegie Mellon University, and later received his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
