Chip Virnig is the Principal at Thoma Bravo since July 2015. Chip has been instrumental in Thoma Bravo’s acquisition and development of software portfolio companies Blue Coat Systems, Compuware Corporation, Dynatrace, Keynote Systems, Mediware Information Systems and SailPoint Technologies, among others. Prior to joining Thoma Bravo in 2008, Virnig worked in the investment banking group at Merrill Lynch & Co. in New York.Chip earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University with dual majors in Business Economics and in Commerce, Organizations and Entrepreneurship.
