Dr Claire Donoghue is the EMEA AI Technical Team Lead for corporate research at 3M, she is researching disruptive technologies such as AI and computer vision.

Prior to this, she completed her PhD in computer vision and machine learning at Imperial College London, where she created algorithms to automatically diagnose arthritis of the knee from medical scans. Claire’s work has been recognized by the IET, IMechE, RAEng, WeAreTheCity and Women In Business Magazine, with a total of 9 prizes for excellence in research. Claire has also worked as a software developer in a large investment bank and participated in many hackathons.

Claire is a returning MC, having co-MC’ed Berlin’s TechCrunch Disrupt Hack 2017 and London 2016. Claire is passionate about helping to increasing the participation of women in technology, she co-founded and directed the London Chapter of the Geekettes.
