Dan Parham co-founded Neighborland with Candy Chang and Tee Parham. Neighborland is a communications platform (SaaS) that empowers civic organizations to collaborate with their stakeholders in an accessible, participatory, and equitable way. As a social enterprise, Neighborland has worked with over 200 civic organizations including city agencies, universities, foundations, and local non-profits. Projects on Neighborland have yielded over $250m in social and economic impact, including the $30m community benefit agreement negotiation between the City of San Francisco and Central Market businesses (including Twitter, Spotify, and Microsoft). Over 1,000,000 U.S. residents have participated on Neighborland projects to date.

Dan was recently a Director of User Experience at Yahoo, working for the Marketplaces and Advertising Platform teams. He led the redesign of the Autos property in 2008, and directed the research and design of the Apt core application team in 2009. Previously, Dan was the Associate Creative Director for Aol entertainment. He helped create their New York based design studio, and led their network redesign in 2007.

Dan helped start Red Antenna in 2001, a creative agency based in New York known for its design and development work for media companies, academic institutions and non-governmental organizations. He has worked with Red Antenna in a variety of roles, most recently as a business development associate. From 1999 to 2001, Dan was the Art Director at Gotham Broadband, where he directed product launches for media and technology clients. Dan started his career in New York as a designer and animator at Edgeworx.

He has won awards from the American Institute of Graphic Arts, Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, and the Broadcast Designers Association.
