Darin Feinstein is an entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist who has been involved in the blockchain industry since 2012. Feinstein is the Founder and Chairman of Core Scientific, a leading provider in the AI and blockchain space. He also founded Blockcap, a North American digital asset mining company. In 2021, Core Scientific and Blockcap joined forces through a public merger. At the time of the merger, the company had a pro forma enterprise value of approximately $4.3 billion.

Feinstein is a licensed attorney in California (currently non-practicing), and worked in a self-practicing role until 2017. It was around this time he applied his experience and expertise to launch an investment banking company Blackhawk Capital Partners, focused on projects within the real estate space. Feinstein’s portfolio expands beyond blockchain, with multiple ventures in hospitality and entertainment.

He founded Black Star Investments, helping establish an investment approach focused on recognizing, analyzing and then investing in added value or distressed business opportunities. Feinstein is also the owner and managing partner of Red Mercury Entertainment, a full-service production, ticketing and box office company that services casinos in the Las Vegas area.
Feinstein is also the co-owner of El Dorado Cantina, an organic, GMO-free Mexican concept with locations across the West Coast, and is the largest franchisee of Fatburger, with locations in both Nevada and California. He is the creator of the Fatbar concept and is a franchisee of both Rock & Reilly’s and the Sugar Factory.

Feinstein is passionate about bettering the Las Vegas community and is involved with a number of local non-profit organizations and philanthropic events in the Las Vegas area. He is an active supporter of charities such as Keep Memory Alive and Lu Ruvo Center for Brain Health at the Cleveland Clinic Nevada, Meadows School, Noah Animal House, The Shade Tree Organization, among many others. Feinstein has also been a proponent of many charitable events, including the Festival of Trees Gala, Temple Sinai Gala, and Jammin’ 4 Hope.
