Detlef Thielgen is Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, UCB S.A. His first work experience was in banking followed by several roles in Finance
with Schwarz Pharma AG in Europe and the US.

In 1999 he was appointed Managing Director of the worldwide Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations for Schwarz Pharma AG.

From 2002 to 2007 he was Chief Financial Officer and later also Chief Executive Officer for Schwarz Pharma AG before being appointed in November 2007 to his current role.

He studied economics and received his Diplom ekonom from Wuppertal University.
