Dmitry Sergeev graduated from the School of International Law of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (also known as MGIMO) in 1998. Dmitry worked at a number of investment companies, then joined Alfa-Bank. In 2002 Dmitry took the position of COO at Regional Media Group consolidating media assets (TV, radio). 2005 through 2006 worked as a Corporate Director for the TV3 channel, then 2007 through 2009 took the position of COO at Group Media-1. Since 2009 worked as COO at UTH Russia (main assets including U Channel, Disney Channel, and MUZ-TV), in 2011 rising to the position of the General Director. 2012 through 2013 was the President of Kommersant publisher (newspaper, magazines, website, and radio). Since 2014 held the position of VKontakte's COO.
