Ece Gözen, the founder of Gozen Bioworks, after graduating from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Fashion and Textile Design, has always used fashion as a tool for 12 years to show the bond between micro and macro cosmos. Her vision and approach to blending nature, art, science and technology with innovative ideas has also been appreciated and rewarded by the global fashion community.Gözen, who won the "Most Visionary Designer" award by winning the MUUSE x VOGUE competition, was selected for CFE London's YOTA program and worked with mentors of Mary Katrantzou and Marios Schwab. Since 2012, Ece Gözen's designs have been presented to the global fashion world with special invitations of the organizers at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Istanbul, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin, Who's Next Paris, Tranoi Paris.

Realizing that fashion can have a meaningful future only if it is sustainable, after experiencing every aspect of the fashion and textile industry, Ece Gözen, has created a new sustainable model by focusing on design, biotechnology and art to combat the pollution in the world created by the fashion and textile industry and as a woman entrepreneur and she founded Gozen Bioworks. Ece Gözen's vision and Gozen Bioworks have been supported by many global brands such as Samsung and Nike with their projects. Through the achievements of Gozen Bioworks, Ece Gözen won many awards such as Elle Style Awards - Sustainable Fashion Award, TOYP (Ten Outstanding Young Persons Of the World) - Environmental Protection and Moral Leadership Tr Award, Kagider Green Woman Business Honor Award and became Nike's Sustainability Brand Ambassador. Her start-up Gozen Bioworks, has been named one of Hello Tomorrow’s Deep Tech Pioneers amongst 4000+ applications from 115 countries. Her invention, sustainable bioleather, Xylozen® launched at Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge in Paris. In the deep tech museum, industry leaders had the chance to discover game-changing projects like Gozen's project that building our tomorrow.

Ece Gözen, as a biomaterial inventor, biodesigner and woman entrepreneur, still produces sustainable biomaterials of the new world such as vegan leather and bioplastic for the textile, automotive and many other industrie with her team in laboratory at Gozen Bioworks, which she established as the first institution in Turkey to combine fashion, design, biotechnology and art. Gözen develops design and material prototypes with global brands and manufacturers and also carries bio-art projects for social awareness. Ece Gözen continues her efforts, which she started at the heart of textile and fashion with the philosophy that every living thing in this world is interconnected to ensure that other sectors adopt this sustainable movement.
