Entrepreneurship and technology have always fascinated me. When I was little I used to say that I wanted to be a scientist and an inventor. It was with this focus that I graduated in Computer Engineering from PUC-RIO, got a masters in Computer Science from UFRJ and a PhD from Rutgers University.

After my PhD, I was invited to work at Google. I arrived at the company founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 2005, when it was still growing fast, with around 3,000 employees. At that time, there were not enough engineers to take on all the challenges and opportunities. This allowed me to work in a very dynamic environment, with many interesting and smart people. Everyone embraced the challenges and thrived in a creative and mostly free-spirited environment.

My first project at Google involved collecting all the hardware signals from all of Google's compute clusters. Scaling that infrastructure fast was a constant challenge, but we made it happen. With that scale of data, we mined it and found interesting results that helped improve Google's datacenters and automate their repairs process. We even published two papers. One of them received the best paper award and 10 years later we received the USENIX Test of Time award.

Later, I joined Gmail, working first on data analysis understanding user behavior, then the front end and finally on the Android app. My last team at Google was the security team, where I was focused on fighting phishing scams.

In 2021, I joined Apple briefly, working as a tech lead on a project focused on load balancing across all of Apple's blobstorage, which is responsible for iCloud as well as many other Apple properties.

In parallel with my work with technology, I undertook some side projects. I developed a novel energy drink called Entropy. I launched a site for wine lovers called Grapeshare. And inspired by the birth of my daughter I also wrote and illustrated two children's books, for the Toloc Toloc series.

More recently, I was invited to participate in the growth and scalability of Tenchi Security. It was the opportunity I was waiting for to combine my entrepreneurship desires and my passion for technology. At Tenchi, I work alongside successful entrepreneurs who are at the forefront of successful businesses in the very important space of Cloud Security.

My mission today is to build and deploy the Zanshin product, lead product development and, of course, find talented people to join us.
