Elisha Ong is the Co-founder and Product Lead at Burpple, a new way to organize and share your food moments. With a keen eye for detail, he defines the Burpple product and user experience and dreams of a world connected through food moments.Earlier, Elisha was the Lead Designer at Qik, a mobile video communications company based in Redwood City, California. He designed the world's first video chat user interface on a smartphone (prior to FaceTime). He led the design on Qik's key mobile products: Qik Video Chat on Android (launched on top carriers in US) and Qik on iPhone (#1 Paid App). He also overhauled Qik.com desktop and mobile web client. During his time, Qik grew from 500,000 to 6 million users and was acquired by Skype (now Microsoft) in early 2011 for $150M.Prior to Qik, Elisha worked at JCDecaux Asia, ESPN STAR Sports, founded a design labs, and spun off several creative social enterprises in Singapore and Malaysia. At 14, he started a soccer gaming website and developed stadiums for EA Sports FIFA titles.Elisha's passion lies in creating early-stage companies and products, from the paper sketches to delivering the final customer experience.
