Jamie's background combines experiences at leading medical and business organizations. He advises Norwich Ventures on matters related to the intersection of medicine and business.Jamie is a surgeon in western Colorado where in addition to operating and taking call, he takes on a significant leadership role. Previous medical appointments have included being a burn, trauma and critical care surgeon at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, a fellowship at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Chief Residency in Surgery at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, and a research fellowship at Columbia's Cardiac Transplantation Research Laboratory. Jamie is also a visiting researcher at MIT Sloan in the department of Finance and at the Salt Lake City VA. In addition, Jamie took a seven-year hiatus from medicine to work in business. He spent five years as a consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he focused on medical device, biotech, and pharmaceutical product strategy and M&A. Jamie's client work there spanned the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. Jamie also spent two years at a New York City hedge fund as the pharmaceutical and medical device analyst. He holds several board seats with various healthcare organizations.
