De Schutter has held senior finance positions in the healthcare and electronics industries for over 15 years. He is currently Corporate Controller at Prysm, Inc., a Silicon Valley based start-up.

Prior to Prysm, de Schutter worked in a variety of senior finance and management functions at Royal Philips Electronics.

Most recently he was General Manager/VP Finance of Philips' Consumer Lifestyle development and manufacturing facility in Drachten, the Netherlands.

Before that, he was Sr. Director of Finance at Philips Radiology Informatics, a Silicon Valley based Healthcare IT company that Philips acquired in 2005.

De Schutter holds a post-graduate degree as Executive Master in Finance and Control, with official Netherlands Controller Board certification as Registered Controller ("RC"). He also holds a MA in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
