Karl Weintz has broad experience leading security and technology businesses through hyper-growth and drastic industry consolidation. He was recently COO of CoreStreet, the leader in Credential Validation solutions for Identity & Access Management technologies for cyber, homeland and physical security. He successfully grew the business to profitability and sold it to ActivIdentity, world leader in Identity Assurance software. While at ActivIdentity he ran Worldwide Sales, Marketing and Corporate Development. He was instrumental in the subsequent sale of ActivIdentity to HID Global, part of ASSA ABLOY. At HID, he was VP of Mobile Access, a strategic initiative where smart phones actuated readers and opened doors via Near Field Communication. Earlier in his career at Genuity and BBN Planet, he had P&L responsibility for various internet services including managed application services, web hosting and virtual private networks. He started his career at NASA, where he led the mechanical design, analysis and integration team for an experiment that flew on the Space Shuttle Endeavor. Karl holds a master of business administration degree from Harvard Business School, a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering, as well as a bachelor of arts in anthropology from Stanford University.
