Kevin King joined iRhythm in July 2012 as President, CEO, and Director, after nearly three decades of experience in the healthcare and IT industries in leadership roles.

Most recently he was the President and CEO of Affymetrix, a publicly traded technology innovator in the field of genetic analysis, where he defined and led a growth strategy into new markets for downstream validation and molecular diagnostics and oversaw several acquisitions.

Kevin’s business expertise spans a diverse range of markets and technologies including: genetic analysis, medical devices, enterprise clinical information systems and healthcare services for business and clinical decision support.

Prior to Affymetrix, Kevin was President and CEO of Thomson Healthcare, a $500M information services business focused on a range of healthcare-related businesses.

Previously, Kevin was a senior executive at GE Healthcare, where he led several business units including Magnetic Resonance Imaging and the $900M Global Clinical Systems Business.

Kevin began his career at HP’s Medical Products Group and during his fourteen year tenure held leadership roles in Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Business Development.

Kevin earned his B.A. from the University of Massachusetts in Economics and Biology and holds an M.B.A. from New Hampshire College.
