Lee Weinberg is an attorney, entrepreneur and investor who has founded, operated, and financed a number of businesses in entertainment, media and technology.

Lee is a principal of the Dauntless Founders Fund, L.P. (www.dauntlessfund.com) and partner with Weinberg Gonser LLP (www.weinberg-gonser.com). He is also active on several growth-company boards, including YouMail (www.youmail.com). In addition, he is on the Executive Committee and an officer of Tech Coast Angels (Los Angeles), a preeminent angel-investor group.

Among his many ventures, Lee was a leading principal in 2002 in the acquisition and restructuring of AEi Systems (www.aeng.com), an aerospace engineering and power systems design firm whose customers include the world’s largest particle accelerator at CERN (aka, the “black-hole doomsday machine”) and nearly all the world’s leading aerospace/defense and IC manufacturers.

Prior to AEi Systems, Lee was co-founder and CEO from 1999 to 2002 of SalesMountain, a mobile and internet infomediary that Yankee Group ranked the 3rd most important mobile app/site in 2000 (behind Amazon and Yahoo) and returned a profit to investors in connection with its sale. Prior to SalesMountain, he was a principal of artist management and music publishing firm, SMG.

Lee started his career as an attorney with Sullivan & Cromwell, Debevoise & Plimpton and with Riordan & McKinzie in Los Angeles. As an attorney, Lee has counseled a wide range of clients in connection with more than $20 billion in domestic and international transactions and financings. His law projects commonly involve intellectual property licensing, joint ventures and M&A, and his industry concentrations are in media, sports and entertainment, aerospace and technology.

Lee has been published and/or quoted in Euromoney, Investor’s Business Daily, The National Law Journal, The Business Law News, and the publications of the Technology Council. He is also a frequent guest lecturer and panelist on entrepreneurship, business and investing, media and technology, music and music publishing (including with USC’s Marshall School of Business, USC's Annenberg School of Communications, UCLA's Anderson School of Business, and the Los Angeles Venture Association (LAVA), among others).

Lee earned his J.D. from Yale Law School and his B.A. summa cum laude from the University of Rochester. He served as President of the Yale Law School Association of Southern California from 2005-2008, and interviews Yale College applicants as a member of the Yale Alumni Schools Committee.
