He advises companies on building cohesive & high performing boards and aligning corporate strategy with sustainable business. He has 34 years of valuable experience in large Indian and multinational companies and in management consulting.

Mahendra has an experience of sitting on the Boards of companies as Independent Director, from a variety of sectors like Financial Services, Information Technology, Capital Goods, Exposition, Telecommunications & Pharmaceutical companies. He has been member of advisory board for Asia, for Stern Stewart & Company (The EVA Company of USA).

Mahendra is an MBA with specialisation in Finance and holds a bachelors degree in science (B.Sc.) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

He has done a course from Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, USA,. for board of Directors on ‘Governing the Corporation: Global Perspectives in the Indian Context’. Mahendra is consultant to World Bank – IFC, and also holds a certificate by World Bank, IFC, Global Corporate Governance Forum USA, as Trainer for Board of Directors.
