Mark Wachira leads the organisation's technology efforts across its various domains such as healthcare, social services and security. Mark is an engineering professional as well as an entrepreneur with over 15 years experience in the ICT sector, having worked in the telecoms and IT sectors in Kenya and internationally for various entities such as Airtel and Ericsson. He has extensive experience in project and program management, service delivery, systems and software engineering as well as telecoms and IT management. Mark holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics engineering from the University of Manchester as well as a Masters of Business Administration from Warwick Business School. Mark is also a certified project management professional as well as having various technology certifications in both the telecoms and IT domains. He is passionate about technology and its transformative impact on society as well as having a keen interest in finance, economics and computer science especially highly scalable distributed system architectures, large scale distributed database systems, telecommunication networks and machine learning.
