Marleen Vogelaar is the co-founder of Shapeways, the leading 3D printing service and marketplace. In 2008, she and her co-founders launched Shapeways’ upload-to-3D-print service, and since then she’s built it out to the current community of buyers and sellers for 3D designs with HQ in New York City and two other factories. Prior to Shapeways, Marleen was at the boutique consulting firm IMCG Solving, in M&A and strategy, where she worked with clients on due diligence, post-merger integration, operational improvement, and privatizations. Earlier in her career, Marleen was in operations and quality management at a paper manufacturing plant at SCA Hygiene Products. She started her career at SCA as a local demand manager, focusing on using logistics and value-added services as a competitive advantage in a highly commoditized market. Marleen is a former heptathlete and spends her spare time in the outdoors as much as possible.
