Matt joined Vision Capital in 2009, and is the senior investment professional in the New York office, overseeing all day to day operations, and all origination, transaction and portfolio management activities. He is a board member of New Evolution Ventures, The Service Companies, Education Corporation of America, Strategic Materials and Velocitel. Matt led Vision Capital’s investments in New Evolution Ventures, The Service Companies and the Willis Stein portfolio comprising of Education Corporation of America, Strategic Materials Inc. and Velocitel. Prior to relocating to New York, Matt oversaw debt financing across Vision Capital’s portfolio in Europe and was a member of the execution team for the acquisition of Nordax Finans. He is also a member of the firm’s Portfolio Management Committee.

Before joining Vision Capital, Matt was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of Nomura International (formerly Lehman Brothers Europe), where he primarily focused on the execution of leveraged finance transactions for financial sponsors. Prior to Lehman Brothers, Matt was an Executive Director at CIBC World Markets, where he started his career and worked in leveraged finance and financial sponsor coverage in both New York and London.

Matt holds a BA in History from Dartmouth College.
