Matt Bross is the Chairman and CEO of Compass which is the inventor of icPhotonics technology and has delivered the first commercial chip to chip icPhotonics solution that enables the transformation of the ICT industry globally. Matt served as the former Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Huawei, the CTO of British Telecom (BT) and CEO of BT Innovate where he lead the 21CN network transformation.

Matt also served as CTO of Williams Communications. Matt has lead the technology innovation and investment strategies for the companies he has served across multiple technology and business domains including carrier, enterprise, devices, applications and services.

Matt was awarded a William Pitt Fellowship by Pembroke College at the University of Cambridge. In 2010, Matt was listed as one of the most powerful people in wireless by Fierce Wireless. Also, Interactive Week recognized Matt as one of the “Top 25 Unsung Heroes of the Net”. In recent years, Light Reading has recognized Matt as one of the Top 10 most influential people in Telecom.

Matt currently serves as a Board Member on X-IO Technologies, a next generation cloud storage platform, and serves as a Board Member of Sonus (Nasdaq: SONS), a provider of cloud based real time communications for the mobile internet. Matt is the Chairman of the Global Information Infrastructure Commission (GIIC) and is a member of the Board of Directors for the EastWest Institute (EWI).
