Matthias Heutger leads the commercial development and innovation area of DHL’s cross-divisional unit Customer Solutions & Innovation (CSI). He drives the development of sector strategies for DHL’s five focus sectors - Automotive, Energy, Engineering & Manufacturing, Life Sciences & Healthcare and Technology. In addition, he also leads marketing and sales steering & development for DHL’s top 100+ accounts, next to the customer-centric innovation activities across the DHL divisions. He reports to DHL’s Chief Commercial Officer and is a member of the CSI Board.Matthias has held different positions within the Group, most recently as VP, Head of Global Sales and Marketing at DHL SUPPLY CHAIN (DSC), the largest provider of contract logistics in the world. Here, he was instrumental in creating strong, globally consistent and customer centric sales disciplines.Previously, Matthias has worked in the DP DHL’s top management consultancy where he created and led the global supply chain practice. Matthias worked in the financial sector before he joined DP DHL in 2002.Matthias holds a Diploma in business administration and economics from the University of Cologne, Germany. He is member of The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, member of the board of directors of GS1 Germany and is highly engaged with various industry bodies and best practice associations like SAMA, SCM World, The Innovation Round Table and others.
