Mike tends to be skeptical of things that are “new for new’s sake.” But don’t misunderstand him: you’ll see his skepticism turn into enthusiasm when he’s tackling challenges that are about bringing meaningful solutions that truly work to make things better.He has brought this perspective to digital products and services across industries in entertainment, health and communications for clients including AT&T, Amazon, Sonos, Samsung, Intel, Proctor & Gamble, and Microsoft.Mike’s background blends industrial design and user experience. Prior to Artefact, he worked as a product and UX consultant in Seattle, and spent eight years in Portland working as a Creative Director and Interaction Designer at Ziba Design. He also spent time at Intel’s User-Centered Design Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from Western Washington University and has worked natively in technology, beginning at various dot-coms and design agencies creating products, web applications, and motion graphics.You can find Mike producing electronic music, taking photos, and speaking at design conferences about building digital ecosystems.
