An economist by background, Nick joined SureChill as a non- Executive Director in 2019. Having spent much of his earlier career in senior roles in the energy sector, most notably as BP’s Group Vice-President for Strategy and Policy Development between 2002 and 2006. Nick has also served as a Special Advisor on energy matters to the UK Prime Minister, Gordon Brown and, between 2010 and 2018 as Chair of the Cambridge Centre for Energy Studies.Nick is currently a visiting professor at King’s College London and founding chairman of the Kings Policy Institute. In addition, he is a vice-president of the Hay on Wye Literary Festival and a member and chairman of the executive committee of the Athenaeum.He writes regularly in the Financial Times on Energy and Power and for the Nikkei Asian Review
