Peter Lieb serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Aon plc. As the company’s chief legal officer, he heads Aon’s Global Law Department and manages legal, regulatory, compliance and government relations matters for Aon and its business units globally.Prior to joining Aon in July 2009, Peter was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at NCR Corporation where he oversaw all legal matters at the company.Earlier in his career, Peter served as a federal prosecutor in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York – focusing on organized crime, securities fraud and other white collar criminal activities. He also served as a partner at the Jones Day law firm. From 1983-1984, Peter served as a law clerk to Warren E. Burger, Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court.Peter graduated magna cum laude from Yale College, where he was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He holds a law degree from the University of Michigan, where he was managing editor of the Michigan Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif.
