Ms. Priya Padmanabhan has served as an Engineering Director on the Amazon Marketplace team since 2015. Ms. Padmanabhan leads the Seller Services businesses globally responsible for billing, payments, pricing, business analytics and Marketplace Developer Experience. Across 11 global marketplaces, half of the units sold on Amazon worldwide are from small businesses that contribute to realizing Amazon’s vision of offering the earth’s largest selection of items at the lowest prices.

Ms. Padmanabhan is a long time Amazonian. She was in Amazon’s first intern class in 2000 and was hired as a Software Engineer in 2001. She spent her initial year as a Software Engineer in the Retail Catalog Systems team responsible for scalability and performance of Amazon catalog systems. In early 2003, she became part of the Remote Catalog team and built the first set of tier-1 services for rendering catalog and availability data to the Amazon Website and subsequently built the storage and computation platform for Amazon’s e-commerce business. In 2007, she transitioned to becoming a manager and led the Fulfillment Systems platform team responsible for inventory management, inventory quality control and item data management for Amazon Fulfillment Centers. After four years in Operations, in 2011 she transitioned to the Amazon Marketplace team.

Ms. Padmanabhan holds a Masters in CS from the University of Arizona. In her personal time, she enjoys spending her time with her 3 sons and pursues her interest in music and cooking.
