Rishad Tobaccowala is the Chief Strategist and Member of the Board at Publicis Groupe. Rishad is also a Chairman of DigitasLBi and Razorfish, two global firms with over 10,000 employees around the world focussed on marketing and business transformation. Rishad was Chief Strategy and Innovation officer of VivaKi, a global leader in digital advertising solutions and a center of excellence and resource for the entire Publicis Groupe, the world’s third largest communication Groupe with 58,000 employees. DigitasLBi and Razorfish also are part of the Publicis Groupe. Rishad focuses on incubating new ideas, approaches and models for the next generation of data driven marketing, story telling, brand rethinking and the next two billion customers (China and India) which help Clients transform their business for an empowered age. Rishad has 31 years of experience in marketing and has worked, helped grow, founded/co-founded or incubated for a variety of companies including Leo Burnett, Starcom, SMG Next, Starcom IP, Giant Step, Play, and Denuo. Rishad serves on the board of RecycleBank and works as an adviser to several firms including Greycroft Partners LLC, Abundant Ventures , Marketshare Partners, and Visible Measures. Rishad also is the chairman of The Tobaccowala Foundation, a family foundation providing health, education and welfare help to the needy of India. Rishad has a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Bombay and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
