Sebastien Clerc joined Voltalia in 2011 as the Chief Executive Officer. He is specialized in the infrastructure sector, particularly in renewable energies for almost 25 years. He also has experience in the creation and direction of companies.

After spending 10 years in project financing within Crédit Lyonnais in Canada then in New York, he returns to France in 1999 to join Ixis, then a subsidiary of la Caisse des Dépôts, where he created and developped three activities in parrallel: the counsel in financing and acquisitions of infrastructures, management of infrastructure investment funds, and project financing. In 2007, he participates actively in the merge between Ixis and Natexis, as Global Head of Project Finance.
Sebastien Clerc was the President of Natixis Environnement & Infrastructures from 2000 to 2011. From 2009 to 2011, he also directed Natixis Alternative Assets, a manager of alternative funds multi-specialist. He is a graduate of Sciences Po and of l’Université de Paris X.
