Soren Riisgaard is the vice president of strategic operations at FinancialForce. He is responsible for developing and implementing programs across departments to help scale the business and maximize efficiency as the company continues to grow.

Prior to joining FinancialForce, Soren worked as a vice president at KMD, Denmark’s largest IT software provider, where he led the company’s overall strategy process, was responsible for the operational and commercial transformation of the company and managed mergers and acquisitions. In his role at KMD, Soren led over 18 lean transformations, commercial excellence and procurement projects. He also oversaw the expansion of KMD’s nearshore presence and was the internal lead during KMD’s sale to private equity fund, Advent International.

Before KMD, Soren worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company for 5 years, covering outsourcing, operational transformation, market entry strategy and corporate strategy for global technology projects.

Soren moved to the Bay Area from Denmark with his family in 2015. He studied Computer Science at the Danish Technical University, and completed a semester at MIT in Boston, Massachusetts.
