Stefan is MD at CommerzVentures, the corporate VC of Commerzbank AG. His investments at CommerzVentures include eToro, the leader in social trading, Marqeta, the first developer centric card issuing platform and Mambu, the leader in cloud based core banking systems. Previous to joining CommerzVentures in 2014 he spent 12 years at Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures investing in disruptive technology and internet start-ups across Europe. During that time he led Doughty Hanson’s Series A investment in SoundCloud, one of Europe’s fastest growing internet companies. As an investor he likes founders with big ideas, ambition, and an ability to articulate why they can dominate a particular space. Stefan holds an MBA from Insead and a Dipl.-Ing. from RWTH Aachen.
