Thomas M. Rutledge is the director, president, and chief executive officer of [Charter Communications](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/charter-communications). Prior to joining Charter, Rutledge served as the chief operating officer of [Cablevision](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/cablevision-systems) and president of [Time Warner Cable](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/time-warner-cable).

Rutledge began his career in 1977 at American Television and Communications (ATC), a predecessor company of Time Warner Cable. In 2011, he received NCTA’s Vanguard Award for Distinguished Leadership. He is a member of the Cable Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame in 2011.
