Tony Semedo is vice president and general manager of endovascular and peripheral therapies for Medtronic.In his current role he has global responsibility for strategic direction and day to day operations for the endovascular innovations business.Mr. Semedo joined Medtronic in 2002, as vice president of R&D for Medtronic [AVE] Vascular for the coronary, peripheral and endovascular businesses. In 2005, Mr. Semedo moved to Japan as the co-business leader for the Medtronic Japan cardiovascular business, which includes the coronary and peripheral, endovascular, structural heart disease and revascularization and surgical technologies businesses.Prior to joining Medtronic, Mr. Semedo held various management and leadership positions with Alaris Medical Systems and Eli Lilly & Co.He began his career with Abbott Laboratories as a product development engineer.Mr. Semedo holds a Bachelor’s degree in plastics engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
