Vadim Kulik was born on August 14, 1972, in Nalchik, the Kabardino-Balkarian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.In 1995 he graduated from Mendeleev Russian University of Chemical Technology and completed two-year in-depth study courses in economics under the auspices of Margaret Thatcher. In 1998 he graduated from the Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics, specialising in Finance and Credit.In 1995 he worked as an economist at the investment company Imperial-Invest.In 1995–1996 he was the Chief Economist at Imperial bank.In 1997 he was a private entrepreneur in financial construction consulting.In 1998 he held the position of the head of Project Finance Department of the International Cooperation Administration.In 1999 he joined Joint-Stock Commercial Bank Probusinessbank as head of Commercial Risks Analysis Division of the Active-Passive Transactions Department.In 2000 he was promoted to Vice-President for Credit Risk and Banking Technologies of Probusinessbank, and in 2002 he was Vice-President for Credit Risk and Reengineering.In August 2003 he became a member of the Executive Board of Probusinessbank.From 2004 to 2008 he worked at VTB24 as a Senior Vice-president and Director of the Risk Analysis Department.Vadim Kulik joined Sberbank in 2008 as Director of the Risk Department.In 2013 he became a Member of the Executive Board of Sberbank of Russia. He is currently the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board and runs IT and Risk blocks.
