Vinod has over 15 years of experience on the design of robust, scalable and energy efficient wireless networks that support sensor actuator based applications. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed journal and conference publications in the area of sensor networks and holds one patent. Vinod is also an Associate Professor (tenured) in the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at the West Virginia University, where he leads the Wireless Sensor Actuator Networks Research Group. He received the Outstanding research award in 2010 and the outstanding teaching award in 2017 from the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University and his B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from University of Mumbai.
