Zander Rafael is the Chief Executive Officer at Climb Credit, which he co-founded after seeing the disparity between quality education and financing options—students borrowing for education that didn’t serve them or struggling to find financing for high-quality, high-ROI education. After completing his BA and MA at Harvard University, he began his career at Bridgewater Associates; there, he was part of a group charged with developing the firm’s trading algorithms and developed hedging strategies for sovereign wealth funds and pensions. He left to join BCG, serving in three offices and working with financial services clients on a range of issues, including federal mortgage policy. Afterward he started, ran, and sold a SaaS marketing platform. Now, as CEO of Climb, he works to align school, student, and lender to offer financing for students who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend and partners with schools across sectors to expand access to quality education.
