Chester Davenport is the Executive Chairman of Basho Technologies, Inc. and Managing Director of Georgetown Partners, LLC, a private equity firm he founded in 1988. He has served as Chairman of GTE Consumer Services, Inc., Georgetown’s $3.2 billion joint venture with GTE, and Chairman of Envirotest Systems Corp., a publicly traded corporation. Previously, Davenport was the Assistant Secretary for Policy and International Affairs in the U.S. Department of Transportation. Davenport is a graduate of Morehouse College and received his LL.B from The University of Georgia. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the District of Columbia Bar and serves as a Trustee of the University of Georgia Foundation.
