Patrick Bajari is Chief Economist and Vice President of Amazon Core AI. In this role, Mr. Bajari leads a team of approximately 120 software engineers and scientists in machine learning, statistics, operations research, and econometrics. His team is focused on delivering AI-enabled technologies throughout Amazon's businesses, from Alexa to Amazon Go. Since joining Amazon in 2010, his team has built scalable systems for pricing, supply chain, operations, automated marketing, search, and other systems at Amazon. Mr. Bajari is a Fellow of the Econometric Society, an elected Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a Board Directors for the National Association of Business Economists. He also currently serves as Professor of Economics at the University of Washington. Prior to joining Amazon, Mr. Bajari was a faculty member in the economics departments at Harvard, Stanford, Duke, and University of Minnesota.
